Come to the new film review. We have done the third film review. This time is 15Malaysia.
15Malaysia is a short film project. It consists of 15 short films made by 15 Malaysian filmmakers. These films not only deal with social political issues in Malaysia, they also feature some of the best-known faces in the country, including actors, musicians and top political leaders. So there are many short film inside 15Malaysia. The short film that Miss Ezzati give us is Duit Kecil, Lollipop and Meter.
Duit Kecil is about a man went to brothel to release his stress, but after that the man no small change. All the prostitutes came out and argue with the man. They start argue about the money until economic of Malaysia and Singapore. In think that this short film try to tell us the economic issues about our country and another country. It good to know that how important to manage our money and more concern about economic issues of our country.
Lollipop is about a pedophile preparing to hunt a girl in garden park. During that time, many kidnap cases happened . I my perception, what the message bring out from here is they want the parent more concern their children. Spend more time for children instead of work hard until forget to take children back home from school.
Meter is about a interview of a taxi driver.I totally laughing when i watch this short film. The taxi driver very sensitive in political issues. When come to politic question, the taxi driver really sensitive and emotional to answer the questions. He show that he very support Malaysia. The way his supported can said wrong can said no wrong. Some of the part he said that English very important but when a Malay costumer spook English with him. He started get angry and blame the Malay customer. He said why didn't support Bahasa Melayu instead of spook English.
In my opinion, this 15Malaysia project success bring the serious political issues through this short film. It show the darkness behind Malaysia in order that can build strong awareness among Malaysian.
Enjoy our film review yah~~thx
